Battle of the foundations

BATTLE OF THE FOUNDATIONS!
MAYBELLINE VS. REVLON!

Today at work, I decided to play with these two products. We had both as testers so I wanted to do a comparison. This is what I have found:

Revlon:
Better packaging/easier to manage amount that comes out
Has a sheer finish
Dries a bit darker
Not long lasting
Has A LOT of shimmer thats very noticeable outdoors
Not good for oily skin, must use a powder to set
Hard to match to skin tone
Streaks easily
Very wet
Looks like you're wearing foundation
Maybelline:
Blends well
Not much coverage
Most likely this is not best for paler skin tones
Hard to match to skin tone
A LOT comes out with one pump
Has a slightly orange tint to some of the colors
Feels like nothing is on the skin

Hope this helps if you're debating between the two! Personally, I would not buy either because I need a fuller coverage.

Top Favorite Perfumes

Ring My Bella (Benefit)
vs.
Saint (Kat Von D)

These two perfumes are my absolute favorites. They are a tie for first in my book. I am very picky when it comes to perfumes because their are a lot of scents that I do not care for. However, both of these are really nice and different.
According to Sephora.com, Saint can be described as "The sweet nectar of Mirabelle Plum and sparkling juicy mandarin create an addictive, mouth-watering top. At the heart, exotic, heady Tiare flower and sweet, tempting caramel are adorned with the velvety floralcy of jasmine, the queen of the night, as she emits her spellbinding fragrance into the sky. Sensual vanilla and creamy musk combine with the warmth of sandalwood for a comforting dry down." With this perfume I noticed that it's pretty powerful and lasts a long time. It's sweet and innocent and not spicy. I always get compliments when I wear this scent! It has been at the top of my list for perfumes for several years now. It is exclusively sold at Sephora. 1.7oz $58.00

According to Sephora.com, Ring My Bella can be described as, "full of flutter and flounce, this fruity floral fragrance was inspired by Benefit's ultra-feminine muse "Bella." She has a playful, sexy spirit. She wears lace, satin, and all things frilly, all in her search for a juicy fling. Notes :Pink Rose Petals, Soft Lily, Summer Daisy, Egyptian Jasmine, Creamy Peony, White Patchouli, Vanilla Tincture, White Musk. Style:Fruity. Floral. Sweetly seductive." To me, this scent is really unique and has great packaging. It's also really girly, and youthful. This perfume is not too heavy so you can wear it all day or for date night! 1oz $36.00

What are your favorite scents? Have you smelled either of these?

Elf Brushes

      e.l.f Brushes

I recently went to target to pick up a couple of face brushes. While I was there I decided to get e.l.f brushes. I purchased the Essential Foundation Brush and the Essential Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush both for $1.00 each. Keep in mind I have many other brushes from sephora, sonia kashuk, and laura mercier. Ok, so, after testing out these brushes, I can say that I definitely got what I paid for. The ferrule completely came off of the handle of both brushes! I placed it back on but now it is a little wobbly. I have never had this problem with any of my other brushes. Does anyone else have this problem, or maybe I purchased duds? This happened to both within like 3 times I used them. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied with the packaging since its flimsy. I am going to keep the brushes because I like the bristles just not the packaging. My quick fix will be to hot glue it back together. Anyways, be careful if you buy these brushes!
