e.l.f Brushes
I recently went to target to pick up a couple of face brushes. While I was there I decided to get e.l.f brushes. I purchased the Essential Foundation Brush and the Essential Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush both for $1.00 each. Keep in mind I have many other brushes from sephora, sonia kashuk, and laura mercier. Ok, so, after testing out these brushes, I can say that I definitely got what I paid for. The ferrule completely came off of the handle of both brushes! I placed it back on but now it is a little wobbly. I have never had this problem with any of my other brushes. Does anyone else have this problem, or maybe I purchased duds? This happened to both within like 3 times I used them. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied with the packaging since its flimsy. I am going to keep the brushes because I like the bristles just not the packaging. My quick fix will be to hot glue it back together. Anyways, be careful if you buy these brushes!
I hate ELF brushes! Actually... I only hate their $1 line brushes. Some of the studio line brushes are actually pretty decent and I've been using them for at least 2 years! I've not had good luck with ANY $1 brushes, though. Either they completely fall apart of their bristles feel like straw on my face. We definitely got what we paid for!

glad you agree with me! I'm going to check out their studio line brushes
ReplyDeletei never liked the dollar brushes from elf. they did always fall apart and i would have to crazy glue them together. the elf brushes from the studio line is much better!! a lot softer and great for beginners. some of those fell apart too, but i didnt mind gluing them together because they didnt suck otherwise.
ReplyDeleteOOo that does not sound good. I haven't tried any of their brushes but their makeup is hit or miss!
ReplyDeletethanks for the feedback! i think i should just buy more expensive brushes from now on!
ReplyDeletei have the blush brush and it's one of my favorite brushes!! the studio line is superior to the $1 essential brushes but i really really like the essential blush brush. you may have gotten a dud or perhaps when you washed it, some water leaked up into the ferrel, causing the glue to come apart??
ReplyDeletei have been using the couple of essential brushes that i have for years now and they have held up nicely. it sucks you had a bad experience. :(
hopefully you'll try the studio line. you'll see a huge difference. i'm doing a review of the studio set soon so be sure and check it out!
Probably a dud because it happened before I washed them! I'm glad you like the brushes though!
ReplyDeleteokay thanks! ill definitely check out your review!
